Aziz Akhannouch receives Spanish FM Jose Manuel Albarez in Rabat
Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch extended a warm welcome to Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares in Rabat yesterday, marking Albares' inaugural visit to the country since the commencement of Spain's new legislative term. The meeting underscored the flourishing bilateral relations between the two nations and their shared commitment to enhancing ties across political, economic, and cultural spheres.
As Akhannouch hosted Albares, the two leaders lauded the enduring friendship between Morocco and Spain, which has been further emphasized by the strategic partnership endorsed by King Mohammed VI and King Felipe VI of Spain.
Highlighting the frequent and constructive communication between the neighboring countries, Akhannouch and Albares commended their close collaboration on issues of mutual interest. They observed that cooperation has noticeably gained momentum since the meeting between Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and King Mohammed in April 2022.
This gathering follows King Mohammed's personal invitation to Sánchez to foster a comprehensive, multidimensional partnership spanning all fields of diplomacy. Based on the warm reception of Foreign Minister Albares this week, it is evident that Morocco and Spain are steadfast in their commitment to fortify their bond in the months and years ahead.
