In a heartbreaking loss for the entertainment world, Tunisian actress Ines Najjar passed away on March 31, 2025, in Egypt at the age of 43, following a prolonged battle with illness. Hospitalized in a private clinic in Sixth of October City, near Cairo, she had been in intensive care for several days. The cause of her death was septicemia resulting from a ruptured gallbladder, which had left her in a deep coma.

Ines Najjar was a prominent figure in both Tunisian and Egyptian television and film. She rose to fame with her appearance in a music video for Egyptian singer Bahaa Sultan, subsequently launching her cinematic career under the direction of filmmaker Mohamed Najjar in the film "Mido Machakel." Her exceptional talent led her to significant roles in notable films such as "Bahebak Wana Kaman" (2003), "Ali Spicy" (2005), "Karkar" (2007), and "Qalbi Dalili" (2013). Additionally, she shone in several television series, including "Yetrabba Fi Ezo" and "Ali Mubarak."

Najjar's final project was her role in the series "El Halangi," which aired during Ramadan 2025. Her untimely departure leaves a profound void in the Arab entertainment industry.

May her soul rest in peace.
