Morocco's Naval Forces Provide Aid to Struggling Migrants, Safeguarding Lives off Dakhla's Coastline
In a demonstration of unwavering commitment to maritime security, a distinguished vessel of Morocco's Royal Navy successfully intercepted a pirogue on Sunday, located southwest of the coastal town of Dakhla, precisely 70 kilometers from the shoreline. The intercepted vessel carried a total of 57 aspiring migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, including four women in an extremely weakened state due to their arduous journey.
The General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, shedding light on the situation, revealed that the pirogue had set its course towards the Canary Islands, a sought-after destination for those aspiring to embark on a new chapter in their lives. However, the vigilant naval frigate, dutifully patrolling the seas, swiftly intervened to prevent further peril for the individuals on board.
