Moroccan Trailblazer Bouchra Karboubi Honored as Top Arab Football Referee
DUBAI - History was made last night as Moroccan referee Bouchra Karboubi was presented with the prestigious Mohammed bin Rashid Sports Excellence Award for Best Arab Football Referee. The ceremony, held in Dubai, honored Karboubi's groundbreaking achievements as both a pioneering woman in sports and a skilled referee blazing a trail for others to follow.
Balancing her profession as a police inspector in Morocco, Karboubi has reached impressive heights as an internationally respected football referee. She is now preparing to take on a major role as head referee at the upcoming Confederation of African Football tournament to be held in Ivory Coast.
