In a striking resurgence of travel demand, Rabat-Salé Airport has welcomed over 1 million passengers in the first 11 months of 2023, showcasing a substantial recovery compared to pre-pandemic levels. The latest data from Morocco's National Airports Office (ONDA) reveals that between January and November, the airport efficiently served 1,074,057 passengers.

This impressive volume marks a remarkable recovery rate of 106% when compared to the same period in 2019, during which 1,011,756 passengers passed through Rabat-Salé Airport. These figures unmistakably signal a resurgence in air travel following the slowdowns induced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Specifically, in the month of November, Rabat-Salé Airport witnessed 109,362 passengers passing through its gates. This figure not only surpasses but exceeds expectations, standing at 119% of November 2019's passenger volume, which was 91,955.

The ONDA's most recent air traffic report illustrates a positive trend across Morocco's entire airport network. By the end of November, the nation's airports collectively handled over 24.7 million passengers. This figure represents a notable 7% increase compared to the same period in 2019 and an impressive 34% year-over-year growth.

The updated passenger data underscores the strengthening demand fundamentals within Morocco's critical tourism sector as it continues its rebound. With one more month to tally, Rabat-Salé Airport appears to be on track to achieve a significant passenger traffic milestone for the entirety of 2023.
