Russia and Arab Nations Convene in Morocco for the 6th Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum
Marrakech, Morocco is set to host high-ranking diplomats from Russia and Arab League countries on December 20th for the 6th Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum.
Originally scheduled for 2019 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the forum aims to enhance cooperation between Russia and Arab nations. The rescheduling, initiated this year at the request of the Arab League, saw Morocco, currently heading the League's Ministerial Council, taking charge of organizing the event.
The forum will see an extended delegation of leaders, including the Secretary General of the Arab League, the triumvirate Arab ministerial council, the presidency of the Arab Summit, and individual ministerial envoys, in attendance.
Discussions are anticipated to center around potential partnerships and collaborative initiatives between Russia and Arab world countries, spanning various areas of mutual interest.
Notably, this forum marks a shift from its previous location in Moscow in 2019, as Marrakech becomes the first Arab city to host the summit. This change reflects the significance of strengthening ties between Russia and the Arab nations.
