MSA Safety, a renowned manufacturer of safety equipment, solidifies its presence in Morocco this week through the inauguration of an expanded production facility in the North African nation.

In an official press release, the Pennsylvania-based company positions the facility as a pivotal component of its strategy to address the increasing demand for safety gear across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The newly opened Manufacturing Operations Center is set to produce a diverse range of personal protective equipment, including hardhats and respirators.

Bob Leenen, Senior Vice President and President of MSA International, expressed, "This new facility will not only provide an improved work environment for our expanding team but also bolster our capacity to meet the evolving needs of our customers in the region."

The expansion aligns seamlessly with MSA's overarching strategy, focusing on strategic investments in areas demonstrating high growth potential, as explained by Jose Sanchez, Vice President of MissionOPS.

"Through this investment in a larger facility, we aim to optimize our manufacturing footprint, better catering to key markets in the EMEA region. This initiative supports our growth objectives and ensures a consistently high level of customer service," stated Sanchez.

Founded in 1914, MSA employs a workforce of over 5,000 globally and achieved $1.5 billion in revenue last year. Internally, the Morocco team has garnered recognition for their unwavering commitment to safety.

Notably, MSA initially entered the North African market in 2002 following the acquisition of the French firm CGF Gallet. This move marked the beginning of the company's enduring presence in the region.
