Moroccan Engineering Students Clinch Second Place at Global Enactus Competition

The Moroccan Enactus team from the Mohammadia School of Engineers (EMI) at Mohammed V University in Rabat has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the Vice-Champion title at the 2024 Enactus World Cup held in Kazakhstan. This prestigious competition saw participation from over 2,000 universities within the Enactus network, highlighting the significance of Morocco's accomplishment.

The team's journey to success was marked by impressive performances throughout the competition. In the semi-finals, they triumphed over strong contenders including Canada, Mexico, and Nigeria. The championship round saw them facing off against Germany, Tunisia, and South Korea, ultimately landing the coveted second place. Tunisia emerged as the overall winner of the competition.

At the heart of Morocco's success was their innovative project, EPIC, which focuses on providing sustainable solutions for the beekeeping sector. The project's emphasis on addressing both social and environmental challenges caught the attention of judges and spectators alike, demonstrating the team's commitment to impactful entrepreneurship.

This achievement builds upon Morocco's previous successes in the Enactus World Cup, including a second-place finish in China in 2014 and a third-place ranking in South Africa in 2015.
