Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, declared in Tangier on Wednesday that the country's electric infrastructure is poised to become the most integrated and competitive globally. This announcement was made during the inauguration of the 7th Automotive Subcontracting Show, a prestigious event hosted by King Mohammed VI. Minister Mezzour outlined the ambitious goal, stating, "Our objective is to position ourselves as the foremost integrated and competitive electric platform on a global scale, not only serving our upcoming gigafactories but also those throughout the region."

Furthermore, Mezzour underscored Morocco's commitment to embracing the imminent paradigm shift in the automotive sector, which aims to transition entirely to electric vehicles by 2030. This commitment involves establishing a comprehensive ecosystem that covers electric vehicle construction and chemistry. He added that Morocco is set to join the ranks of select nations globally, possessing a fully integrated ecosystem dedicated to manufacturing batteries for vehicles.

"We are moving from being a nation that provides services at the required cost and quality to one that offers competitive solutions," emphasized Mezzour, highlighting the profound challenge presented by the new industrial age.

In relation to this, Minister Mezzour asserted that the Moroccan automotive sector is currently highly sophisticated and demanding. He went on to state that Morocco stands as the most competitive nation globally in specific areas of automobile manufacturing.
