Bank Al-Maghrib Grants Authorization for Al Barid Bank to Expand Business Activities
The governor of Bank Al-Maghrib, Abdellatif Jouahri, has recently authorized Al Barid Bank to broaden its operations to include financing for professionals and very small enterprises (TPE). This decision was officially announced in the bulletin on November 16, 2023.
"This new authorization follows the request submitted by Al Barid Bank in 2021 and will allow the bank to establish a presence in the professional and very small business segment through dedicated financing offerings, as part of its expansion of business strategy into this sector," states a press release.
As a reminder, since its establishment in 2010, Al Barid Bank has exclusively served individuals, with the goal of influencing financial inclusion and the banking of citizens.
