In a commitment to advancing sustainability in the construction sector, LafargeHolcim Morocco has recently forged two key partnerships with industry players to enhance the resilience of the construction industry.

Saad Dalil, the Cement Commercial and Marketing Director at LafargeHolcim Morocco, emphasized the significance of these agreements, stating that they underscore the need to "promote innovative and sustainable solutions that meet current needs." According to Dalil, these partnerships aim to pave the way for the future of the construction industry.

The first collaboration established by LafargeHolcim was with the National Council of Architects (CNOA). The agreement focuses on shared interests in the evolution and scientific progress in the fields of architecture and construction. Additionally, a tripartite agreement was signed, bringing together the Zenata Development Company (SAZ), CNOA, and LafargeHolcim. The purpose is to facilitate a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge, strengthen cooperation among these entities, and bring sustainable and innovative projects to fruition.

Several initiatives will stem from this collaboration, including the organization of an architectural ideas competition on sustainable construction within the Jnane Zenata district in the Zenata Eco-City. This initiative provides an opportunity to rethink and implement innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly solutions.

This partnership signing occurred within the context of an international conference organized by LafargeHolcim Morocco and CNOA. The event gathered various stakeholders in the sector to discuss ambitions and practices related to sustainable construction and building resilience. The conference aimed to promote innovation in the act of building, sharing success stories, recent experiences, and achievements in the field.

Several panels were organized to underscore the importance of sustainability and resilience in the current context, particularly in terms of reducing the ecological, social, and economic impact of buildings throughout their life cycle. Resilience will enable facing climate and natural threats while ensuring the safety and well-being of occupants.

This meeting provided an opportunity to explore the latest trends in the building industry, assess the current status, and discuss the sector's prospects, fostering a spirit of exchange and sharing. LafargeHolcim Morocco remains at the forefront of promoting sustainable and resilient construction practices, contributing to Morocco's commitment to sustainable and inclusive development.
