In response to the surging demand in the electric vehicle battery market, the Moroccan mining group, Managem, is taking a bold step by considering the construction of a factory in partnership with the China Electronics Corporation (CEC). This strategic collaboration marks a new era in the industry, as Reminex, Managem's subsidiary specializing in engineering and construction, solidifies a promising agreement with the CEC.

The primary objective of this alliance is to share technological expertise, creating an industrial ecosystem that fosters the production of essential components for batteries used in electric mobility. This mutual commitment contributes to strengthening ties between Morocco and China in the realm of green energy.

The initial outcome of this collaboration is the realization of a significant contract, signaling the commencement of the construction of the first cobalt sulfate production plant in Morocco. This component holds crucial importance in the manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles, and its local production marks a substantial advancement in Managem's strategy focusing on critical metals and energy transition.

Cobalt sulfate, as an essential component, plays a pivotal role in the creation of batteries for electric mobility. By engaging in this major project, Managem showcases its strategic involvement in a rapidly expanding sector, simultaneously positioning Morocco as a key player in the supply chain for electric vehicle batteries.

This initiative underscores the significance of international cooperation in promoting clean energy and electric mobility. By pooling their strengths, Managem and the China Electronics Corporation pave the way for a fruitful collaboration, contributing to the creation of a more sustainable future for electric vehicles and the associated industry.
