Gitex Africa: Orange Maroc Forges Strategic Cloud Partnership with Amazon
In a groundbreaking move, Orange Maroc, one of Morocco's leading telecommunications companies, has announced a strategic partnership with Amazon, the American e-commerce and cloud computing giant. This announcement was made at the second edition of Gitex Africa, one of the largest technology innovation events in Africa.
Hind El Fal, Secretary General of Orange Maroc, revealed that this partnership will enable the hosting of Amazon's services within Orange Maroc's data centers. This collaboration offers public and private enterprises, as well as governmental organizations, the opportunity to leverage Amazon's services from a secure Moroccan data center. Furthermore, it will foster the development of an ecosystem around Amazon's cloud, the global leader in cloud computing, and reinforce Orange Maroc's position as a key player in digital transformation across Morocco and Africa.
Orange Maroc's presence at Gitex Africa underscores its commitment to digitalization and the development of innovative services. Hind El Fal emphasized that the event has already doubled in size compared to last year, demonstrating Africa's steady progress towards digitalization.
