In a formal press release, the Department of the Head of Government has announced that a pivotal Council of Government meeting, chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, is scheduled to convene on Thursday. This high-level assembly is poised to tackle matters of national significance, emphasizing the government's steadfast commitment to serving the interests of the Moroccan populace.

The council's agenda kicks off with a comprehensive presentation by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests, offering a strategic overview of the nation's food supply during the sacred month of Ramadan 1445-2024. This crucial assessment aims to ensure an uninterrupted flow of essential provisions, safeguarding the welfare of citizens during this revered period.

Additionally, the council will meticulously examine two draft decrees of paramount importance. The first decree concerns the establishment of the Moroccan Observatory of Public Orders, a pivotal institution tasked with monitoring and regulating the nation's procurement processes. The second decree aims to amend and enhance the existing regulatory framework governing State incentives for livestock production, a critical sector that underpins Morocco's agricultural prowess.

Demonstrating Morocco's commitment to strengthening international ties, the council will also deliberate upon two significant agreements. The first pact relates to air services between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Cambodia, signed on March 27, 2023, in Rabat, fostering greater connectivity and economic cooperation between the two nations. The second agreement facilitates the establishment of the permanent headquarters of the Pan-African Development Institute (IPD) in Dakhla, signed on January 16, 2023, in Rabat, highlighting Morocco's pivotal role in advancing regional development initiatives.

In conclusion, the council's proceedings will scrutinize proposals for appointments to high-ranking positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution, ensuring meritocracy and transparency in the selection of the nation's leadership cadre.

As Morocco navigates the complexities of the modern era, this upcoming Council of Government meeting stands as a testament to the nation's unwavering dedication to addressing challenges and seizing opportunities, all while upholding the principles of good governance and inclusive decision-making.
