Alexander De Croo: Strengthening Morocco-Belgium Ties for a Common Future
Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, accompanied by a government delegation and representatives of leading companies, embarks on an official visit to Morocco.
This high-level visit is marked by a series of bilateral meetings between the Belgian Prime Minister and his Moroccan counterpart. Ministers accompanying De Croo will also hold working meetings with their Moroccan counterparts, focusing on common interests and opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The main objective of this visit is to consolidate relations between Belgium and Morocco, symbolized by the signing of several agreements and cooperation accords in various fields. These agreements will reinforce the mutual commitment of both countries to deepen their partnership in key sectors such as trade, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and construction.
In a statement, Alexander De Croo expressed gratitude for the warm welcome received during the visit. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between the two countries, particularly in combating drug-related crime. Additionally, he highlighted the economic opportunities offered by Morocco, especially in the fields of renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and construction.
The Belgian Prime Minister also underscored the strong familial ties between Belgium and Morocco, with one in twenty people having familial connections with Morocco in Belgium. This closeness makes cooperation between the two countries even more tangible and significant.
Finally, Alexander De Croo expressed his willingness to work closely with Morocco to promote development and strengthen ties between the two nations. This visit provides an important platform to move forward together in a world where international cooperation is essential to address global challenges.
