1337 tops global ranking at codingame winter challenge 2026

Students from 1337 secured first place worldwide at the Winter Challenge 2026 organized by CodinGame, confirming the school’s position among leading institutions in competitive programming.

The result follows the SnakeByte edition of the competition, which gathered thousands of developers from across the world. The ranking places 1337 ahead of institutions such as the University of Wroclaw and École 42 Paris, both of which also ranked among the top global performers.

The performance reflects sustained progress rather than a single breakthrough. The school attributes the outcome to continuous training, repeated experimentation, and iterative improvement. Its learning model emphasizes hands-on practice, peer collaboration, and the ability to solve problems under pressure.

Participants followed a process based on learning by doing, working in pairs, and pushing technical limits through constant iteration. This approach, according to the institution, has shaped a consistent trajectory in international competitions.

The 2026 edition confirmed a high level of competition, with strong participation from academic and technological institutions worldwide. Several campuses from the 42 Network also placed within the global top 10, reinforcing the intensity of the competitive environment.

The school said the result reflects collective performance rather than individual achievement. Each participating student contributed to a broader culture focused on effort, collaboration, and continuous progress.

Following several strong performances in previous editions, this first-place finish marks a milestone in the institution’s development. It strengthens its standing as a reference in competitive programming and signals continued ambition for future challenges.

1337 operates with a peer-learning model designed to train students to design, develop, and solve complex problems in demanding environments. The institution emphasizes autonomy, teamwork, and operational excellence in its training approach.
