A missile attack in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy claimed the lives of 10 individuals, including two children, and injured 55 others, according to local officials. Among the injured were eight children. Another missile strike left the region's administrative center without power.

Similarly, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, after a prolonged conversation with Putin, reported no sign of a shift in the Kremlin's stance on the war.
