Morocco strengthens UN ties through peacekeeping dialogue
Under high royal instructions, the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces welcomed the United Nations Military Adviser in Rabat, emphasizing Morocco's proactive engagement in global peacekeeping and security initiatives.
Discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation between Morocco and the UN, focusing on joint peacekeeping training, sharing regional stability practices, and aligning strategies to address international security challenges. These efforts reflect Morocco’s commitment to advancing global peace under the guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander of the Royal Armed Forces.
Morocco’s contributions to UN missions highlight its longstanding partnership and its dedication to fostering regional and multilateral collaboration. A new peacekeeping training center, scheduled to open in 2025, showcases the kingdom’s role as a key player in North African security and South-South cooperation.
This meeting forms part of broader diplomatic efforts, including recent high-level discussions with the United States on defense strategies and upcoming strategic consultations planned for 2026. These interactions underline Morocco’s ability to blend national priorities with global objectives, reinforcing its position as a significant actor in promoting peace and stability.
