Morocco and Kazakhstan Enforce Visa Exemption Agreement

Rabat – Morocco and Kazakhstan have announced the upcoming enforcement of their Visa Exemption Agreement for holders of ordinary passports.

During a visit to Rabat by Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murat Nurtleu, at the invitation of Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, both officials confirmed that the agreement will officially take effect on March 19, 2025.

Initially signed on September 26, 2024, on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, this agreement underscores the strong diplomatic ties and mutual commitment between the two nations, following the directives of King Mohammed VI and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The visa exemption aims to enhance tourism cooperation, foster cultural and interpersonal connections, and facilitate trade between Morocco and Kazakhstan, reinforcing their strategic partnership.
