Zelenskiy meets Palantir CEO as Ukraine expands artificial intelligence use in war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy recently met with Alex Karp, the CEO of the U.S. technology company Palantir Technologies, as Ukraine continues to expand its use of artificial intelligence in its ongoing war with Russia.

The meeting highlights Kyiv’s growing reliance on advanced digital tools to strengthen its military capabilities. Ukrainian authorities have been working with Palantir on a project known as “Brave1 Dataroom,” which focuses on analyzing large volumes of combat data collected since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.

The aim of this initiative is to improve battlefield decision-making and enhance Ukraine’s ability to detect and intercept Russian drones and other aerial threats. Officials say artificial intelligence and data-driven systems are now playing a central role in modern warfare.

Ukraine’s Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that technology has become a decisive factor in military operations. According to him, more than 100 companies are currently involved in training dozens of AI models designed to identify and respond to airborne targets.

Fedorov also noted that cooperation with Palantir has allowed Ukraine to develop advanced systems for analyzing airstrikes and processing intelligence data. These tools are being integrated into military planning, particularly for long-range strike operations.

As the conflict continues, Ukraine is increasingly positioning artificial intelligence as a strategic asset to strengthen its defense capabilities and improve operational efficiency on the battlefield.
