Turkish president names new justice and interior ministers
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has appointed new justice and interior ministers through presidential decrees published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, signaling a significant change within the country’s cabinet.
Under the newly issued decrees, Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akin Gurlek has been named minister of justice, replacing Yilmaz Tunc. Meanwhile, Erzurum Governor Mustafa Ciftci has been appointed minister of the interior, taking over the position previously held by Ali Yerlikaya.
