Former U.S. President Donald Trump, eyeing a return to office in November, created a stir during a recent Fox News appearance by stating he would act as "a dictator for a day" if re-elected.

This eyebrow-raising declaration aligns with Trump's previous sentiments, expressed on December 6 in another Fox News interview, where he emphasized his desire to "shut down the border" and intensify drilling activities.

During a campaign event in Des Moines on Wednesday, January 10, while rivals Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis debated on CNN, Trump reiterated his commitment to addressing immigration issues. He boldly asserted plans to deport "millions" of foreigners who entered the country in recent years, emphasizing, "We have no other choice."

The former White House occupant, a clear frontrunner in the Republican primaries, emphasized his focus on immigration as the Iowa caucuses approach on Monday, January 15.

Beyond immigration, Trump proudly highlighted the Supreme Court's June 2022 decision on abortion rights, declaring, "I ended it, and I'm proud of it."

Despite assuring that his dictatorial stance would only last for the first day, Trump's controversial posturing and policy proposals continue to draw attention as the election date draws near.
