Temperatures dip along southern coasts, rise slightly elsewhere this Wednesday

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Morocco will experience varied weather conditions, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology. A noticeable contrast is expected between regions, with cooler conditions forecast for the southern coastal areas, while other regions may see a slight rise in temperatures.

Hot weather is expected to persist over the northern and central inland plains, the Phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the southeastern regions, and inland areas of the southern provinces. Thunderstorms, sometimes accompanied by hail and gusty winds, are likely to develop in parts of the southern interior.

Cumulus clouds will generate scattered showers and possible thunderstorms over the High and Anti-Atlas mountains, especially on their eastern slopes and the southern Atlantic coastline. Light drizzle may occur over the western Mediterranean shore and the northern Atlantic coast.

Morning and nighttime fog or mist is anticipated over the Mediterranean coast, parts of the Atlantic coast, and northern Oriental region. Local dust storms could affect southern and southeastern regions, while strong wind gusts are expected across the South, central regions, and the southern Atlas.

Minimum temperatures will range between 25°C and 32°C in the southeast, eastern Saharan provinces, and central inland plains, and between 18°C and 25°C elsewhere. Daytime temperatures are forecast to decrease along the southern coasts, while remaining stable or slightly higher in other areas.

Sea conditions will be calm in the Mediterranean, calm to slightly rough in the Strait of Gibraltar, slightly rough north of Mehdia and south of Tan-Tan, and slight to moderate elsewhere.
