Soueast Marks first year in Morocco with S08 DM launch
Soueast has marked its first year of operations in Morocco with the delivery of 1,500 vehicles and the introduction of its new flagship model, the S08 DM. The Chinese automotive brand, distributed exclusively by M-Automotiv, has expanded its presence in the Moroccan market through a growing SUV-focused lineup and a strategy centered on technology, comfort, and competitive pricing.
The company has established five operational sales points across Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, and Fès. Further expansion is planned with new openings in Tanger, El Jadida, and Agadir. This retail network growth reflects a broader effort to strengthen accessibility and brand visibility in key urban markets.
The S08 DM introduces a plug-in hybrid system built on KUNPENG Super Hybrid C-DM technology, delivering 347 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. Equipped with an 18.4 kWh CATL LFP battery, the SUV offers more than 107 kilometers of electric driving range and up to 1,000 kilometers of combined autonomy. Fuel consumption is rated at 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers under mixed driving conditions.
Inside, the seven-seat SUV targets the premium segment with a focus on passenger comfort and in-cabin functionality. It includes massaging, heated, and ventilated seats, a tri-zone climate system, an immersive audio setup, and advanced driver assistance features. Additional equipment includes a rear-seat retractable tablet supporting up to 30 kg, a 6.4-liter integrated mini refrigerator with heating and cooling functions, and a “Boss Switch” for rear passenger control.
Soueast backs the model with an extensive warranty package, including up to 10 years or 1 million kilometers for the engine, 7 years or 200,000 kilometers for the vehicle, and 8 years or 160,000 kilometers for the battery. According to M-Automotiv’s Managing Director Souhail Houmaini, the sales milestone of 1,500 units reflects growing consumer trust and confirms the brand’s expansion potential in Morocco.
Soueast continues to position its strategy around expanding its SUV portfolio and reinforcing its footprint in the Moroccan automotive market, with an emphasis on electrified mobility and enhanced onboard experience.
