Saham paiements acquires part of CMI merchant portfolio
Saham Paiements is set to acquire part of the merchant portfolio of Morocco’s Interbank Monetary Center (CMI), in line with the national initiative to modernize payment services.
The move aims to increase competition among payment institutions, encouraging innovation and diversified solutions for Moroccan merchants. Mohamed El Morabit, CEO of Saham Paiements, described the acquisition as a “key step” in the company’s development, enabling faster deployment of modern, user-friendly card payment solutions.
Through this operation, Saham Paiements reinforces its commitment to transforming the Moroccan payments sector, focusing on service quality, proximity, and innovation. The company provides integrated solutions that combine personalized support with advanced payment technologies, supporting businesses both in physical stores and online.
