RABAT - Aligned with King Mohammed VI's vision of inclusive and equitable education for all, Morocco is dedicated to advancing the role of education for peace and development, as stated by the National Coordination of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).

As the INDH enters its third phase (2019-2023), it actively promotes quality education nationwide through participatory, integrated, and inclusive projects and actions. To date, over 300,000 rural children have been enrolled in preschools, with an additional 110,000 students accommodated annually in over 1,160 Dar Talib.

Supplementary efforts include providing school transportation for 164,000 rural students and offering free tutoring to 425,000 students to enhance primary learning. Extracurricular and personal growth activities have benefited 540,000 students. Moreover, health campaigns have catered to 120,000 rural primary students, and the "One Million Schoolbags" royal initiative has distributed backpacks and textbooks to 4.7 million students.

In observance of the January 24th International Day of Education, with the 2023 theme "Learning for Sustainable Peace," the INDH reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports in promoting inclusive and equitable education for all.
