Morocco's 15th Annual Horse Festival: A Celebration of Equine Excellence
The 15th edition of the Salon du Cheval d'El Jadida, an unmissable event, is in full swing, with preparations underway to reinforce Morocco's position on the global equestrian stage.
On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fishing, Rural Development, and Waters and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, visited the Salon du Cheval d'El Jadida site to assess the progress of preparations for the 15th edition of the Salon. Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this event will take place from October 1 to 6 in El Jadida, with the theme "Horse Breeding in Morocco: Innovation and Challenge."
The visit provided an opportunity to review the progress of site development work and the various organizational aspects of this Salon, which has become an indispensable event in the equine industry.
On the occasion of his visit, the Minister stated, "We are pleased to see the significant progress of the preparations for a richer and more captivating edition."
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the annual organization of this Salon demonstrates our determination to develop the equine industry and strengthen the horse's place in our cultural heritage and its role in the national economy in general, and the rural economy in particular.
Mr. El Habib Marzak, Commissioner of the Salon, thanked the Minister for his interest in the Salon and the development of the equine industry. He emphasized that the Salon du Cheval d'El Jadida, beyond its national reach, has succeeded in shining internationally, thus reinforcing Morocco's position on the global equestrian stage.
This year, the Salon will offer a rich and varied program. Visitors will be able to attend several competitions, such as the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Tbourida, the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Show Jumping, as well as the championships of Barb Horses, Arab-Barb Horses, and Purebred Arab Horses.
Conferences will also be organized and led by sector experts, providing an opportunity to exchange views on new perspectives on innovations and current trends, as well as the best practices to adopt for sustainable and innovative horse breeding.
The Salon also includes a dedicated program for younger visitors, allowing them to discover the world of horses through fun and educational activities. Exceptional equestrian shows are also on the program, featuring Moroccan and international troupes, promising to captivate visitors of all ages.
