Morocco Launches Hajj Payment Process for 1446H Season

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has unveiled the payment procedure for this year's Hajj pilgrimage. From September 2 to September 20, selected citizens will process their fees through Barid Bank agencies across Morocco, with certified checks accepted.

The cost for participants chosen via the official lottery stands at approximately MAD 65,000 ($6,500), subject to potential adjustments. The ministry advises pilgrims to visit Barid Bank agencies with their national ID and selection certificate to complete the transaction.

Reflecting on previous years, Hajj costs for the 1445 season amounted to MAD 66,865 ($6,729). Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has assured its healthcare system's readiness, highlighting extensive preparations in Mecca, Medina, and other sacred sites.

The Saudi Ministry of Health has mobilized over 32,000 medical and administrative personnel, including 5,000 specialized doctors, across 183 facilities. These encompass 32 hospitals, 151 health centers, and 6 mobile clinics, all equipped with cutting-edge medical technologies and totaling over 6,400 beds for intensive care, emergency, and isolation.

Last season saw 34,000 Moroccan pilgrims, with 22,500 managed by the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs and 11,500 through independent agencies. A support team of 738, including administrators, Islamic scholars, medical staff, and media personnel, was on hand to aid pilgrims during their spiritual journey.
