In a commanding display, the Moroccan national soccer team established themselves as early frontrunners at the Africa Cup of Nations, clinching a resounding 3-0 victory over Tanzania in their Group F debut. Widely acknowledged as Africa's top-performing side after their historic World Cup semifinal appearance, Morocco showcased their prowess from the first kick against an overmatched Tanzanian team.

Spanish sports publications were quick to applaud the Atlas Lions' stellar performance, deeming it the standout highlight of the opening matchday. Marca newspaper, in particular, praised Morocco, stating, "Morocco was anticipated to be the surprise team of the Africa Cup following their World Cup exploits, and they certainly lived up to expectations." The impressive scoreline, featuring goals from Achraf Hakimi, Soufiane Boufal, and Azzedine Ounahi, was noted by Marca as the most lopsided result among the opening matches.

AS also commended Morocco for "getting off to a strong start" in their AFCON campaign. The Spanish outlet highlighted the team's well-balanced roster, combining seasoned players like Hakimi, Roman Saiss, and Hakim Ziyech with emerging talents such as Youssef En-Nesyri and Bilal El Khannous. Coach Walid Regragui, a former Santander player, has infused the team with confidence and organization following a robust qualifying run.

Morocco's emphatic victory quelled any uncertainties surrounding their favored status in Group F. While tougher challenges undoubtedly await, the Atlas Lions have unequivocally declared their intent to vie for Africa's premier prize with an impressive opening day performance.
