Morocco and Georgia Commence Negotiations for Air Service Agreement
Morocco and Georgia have initiated negotiations to facilitate the signing of an air service agreement, as announced on the Facebook page of the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA).
A meeting took place between representatives of the aeronautical authorities of Morocco and Georgia during the ongoing international civil aviation negotiations in Riyadh.
According to the GCAA's Facebook post, the parties discussed the prospects of initiating air traffic between the two countries. They mutually agreed that, in order to strengthen relations in the field of civil aviation and facilitate the introduction of direct flights for airlines, they would collaborate towards signing an air traffic agreement.
The draft air traffic agreement, prepared by the Moroccan side, was handed over to the Georgian delegation as the foundation for further collaboration between the aeronautical authorities of both nations.
The post further notes the presence of representatives from major Moroccan airlines, Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia Maroc, at the negotiations. On the GCAA's side, information was shared regarding the Georgian air market and key air transport indicators.
