Mohamed Ramadan films official AFCON 2025 anthem in Marrakech
Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan is currently in Marrakech, where he is filming the music video for the official anthem of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, set to take place in Morocco later this winter.
The singer and actor confirmed the news during a recent appearance on an Egyptian television program, explaining that the choice of Marrakech was driven by its strong artistic identity and striking visual appeal. The city’s historic architecture and cultural atmosphere are expected to play a central role in the final production.
This project marks Ramadan’s second involvement in producing an official anthem for the continent’s premier football tournament. He previously performed the song for the last edition of the competition, an experience he described as a major milestone in his career.
