In a momentous accord inked this Sunday in Rabat, the government and the most influential education sector syndicates have paved the way for a transformative shift in the landscape of national education. The memorandum of understanding, meticulously detailed below, heralds a wave of changes set to positively impact educators across the board.

General Salary Increase:

The heart of the agreement resonates with the unanimous approval of a sweeping salary increment for all teachers, regardless of their status or rank. A net monthly boost of 1,500 dirhams will be disbursed in two equal installments, marking a pivotal moment for educators nationwide, effective from January 1, 2024, to January 1, 2025.

Categorical Considerations:

Exceptional Class (Beyond Scale) Allowances:

A momentous increase in allowances pertaining to the exceptional class (beyond scale) for all employees classified at level 5 and beyond. An additional monthly sum of 1,000 dirhams will be granted.

Complementary Allowances:

An extra monthly allowance of 500 dirhams designated for teachers in the qualifying secondary education sector.

A newly introduced monthly allowance of 500 dirhams for pedagogical administrators.

Special Monthly Allowance:

A 500 dirhams special monthly allowance for administrative assistants and technical assistants integrated as pedagogical assistants.

Examination Correction Incentives:

Revision of examination correction-related allowances, to be jointly determined by the two governmental bodies overseeing national education and finances.

A minimum correction allowance of 1,000 dirhams for teachers involved in the correction process.

Advancement System Overhaul:

Reduction of the required number of years for certain grade advancements, signaling a progressive reformation of the existing system.

Administrative Task Recognition:

Recognition and equivalence of administrative allowances for temporary administrative roles pertaining to pedagogical administration, as assigned by the authority in charge of national education.

Overtime Boost:

A discretionary 30% increase in overtime allowances to further motivate educators, with these extra hours being optional.

Resolution for Specific Retirees:

Settlement of issues concerning primary school teachers, pedagogical attaches, and economic and administrative attaches who were initially recruited at scales 7 or 8, classified in the second grade, and retired between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2023. This resolution will be executed through the Moroccan Retirement Fund.
