A significant milestone has been reached in the partnership between Mazars in Morocco and the El Baraka association, confirming their shared commitment to national sustainable development goals and the fight against poverty in remote rural areas.

Social Inclusion: El Baraka Angels, highly active in this context, has just received a donation of 400,000 DH from the international audit and consulting firm Mazars to finance part of its charitable actions. Details.

The mobilization continues to aid those affected by the earthquake in the Al Haouz region on September 8th. Mazars has donated 400,000 DH to the Baraka Angels association to support its charitable actions. This financial aid will contribute to reconstruction in several douars in the Al Haouz province. The construction of a boarding school for 220 children is also planned in this context. This new step in the partnership between Mazars in Morocco and the El Baraka association underscores their shared commitment to national sustainable development goals and the fight against poverty in remote rural areas.

"Mazars Morocco provides valuable support to our efforts to improve living conditions in remote mountainous areas. We are delighted to continue this impactful collaboration, guided by shared values and a common vision for a better future for all," rightly confirms Selwa Zine, president of El Baraka Angels. "We welcome the strengthening of our collaboration with the El Baraka Angels association, which has been working for many years in remote rural mountainous areas, including those affected by the earthquake on September 8, 2023. It is essential for us to continue supporting collective efforts and the national solidarity movement for the benefit of earthquake victims. Beyond our material support, our teams have also been mobilized daily in the weeks following the earthquake to support the efforts of El Baraka Angels, particularly in preparing emergency aid and transporting convoys to affected areas," adds Abdou Diop, Managing Partner of Mazars Morocco.

As a reminder, the El Baraka Angels association has been advocating for a decade to help people living in often remote mountainous regions. Its humanitarian actions primarily focus on the distribution of emergency aid in winter, the establishment of medical caravans, the construction of schools, access to water and electricity, emergency support during pandemics and natural disasters. Specifically, after the earthquake, the association ensured that the affected populations received food, tents, blankets, clothing, and medical supplies. To ensure sustainability, the NGO started in October by installing school classes in modular structures to allow students to resume their education. The project to establish a boarding school for 220 students currently living in tents at an altitude of 1,500 meters in the Anougal commune has already begun. Finally, by the end of this December, the El Baraka Angels association plans to relocate an entire village to modular housing.
