Major Investment in Moroccan Cinema: 25 Million Dirhams Allocated for Modernization and New Cinemas
In an announcement signaling a significant milestone in the evolution of cinema in Morocco, the Commission for the digitization, modernization, and creation of cinemas, under the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM), has recently unveiled a substantial initiative. A significant funding of 25 million dirhams has been dedicated to the digitization, modernization, and creation of cinemas across the Kingdom, marking a strong commitment to revitalizing the national film industry.
According to a press release from the Commission, this ambitious investment will be distributed as follows:
Creation of New Cinemas:
Cinema "Cinerji Morocco Mall" in Casablanca: 4,000,000.00 dirhams
Cinema "Cinerji - le 25 Square Dar Bouazza" in Casablanca: 4,000,000.00 dirhams
Cinema "Cinerji Green City - Bouskoura" in Casablanca: 4,000,000.00 dirhams
Cinema "Cinerji Kenitra": 4,000,000.00 dirhams
Cinema "Cinerji Agadir": 4,000,000.00 dirhams
Cinema "Al Burj Azoud" in Azilal: 4,000,000.00 dirhams
Digitization of Cinemas:
Cinema "Eden Club A" in Casablanca: 500,000.00 dirhams
Cinema "Eden Club B" in Casablanca: 500,000.00 dirhams
This initiative, supported by a substantial financial envelope, aims to modernize the cinematic experience in Morocco, encourage the creation of new cinemas, and propel the national film industry to new heights.
