King Mohammed VI pays tribute to Sheikh Jamal Eddine Al Qadiri Boutchich
King Mohammed VI of Morocco has expressed his deep condolences to the family of Sheikh Jamal Eddine Al Qadiri Boutchich, leader of the Qadirya Boutchichia Sufi order, who passed away at the age of 83.
In his message, the King said he learned of the Sheikh’s death with great sadness and prayed that God would grant him mercy and welcome him among the virtuous believers.
The monarch extended his heartfelt sympathy to the Sheikh’s family, his disciples, and followers of the Tariqa Qadirya Boutchichia both in Morocco and abroad, asking God to grant them patience and comfort during this difficult time.
HM King Mohammed VI highlighted the late Sheikh’s lifelong dedication to serving Islam, promoting tolerance, moderation, and spiritual values rooted in Sufism and Sunni traditions. He also underlined the Sheikh’s loyalty to the Alaouite Throne and his unwavering attachment to the principles of the Moroccan nation.
The King concluded by praying that the late Sheikh be rewarded for his service to the nation and be welcomed into paradise among prophets, the righteous, and the virtuous.
