Inwi money and wafacash partner to expand financial services in Morocco
Inwi Money, the mobile payment subsidiary of Moroccan telecom operator Inwi, has signed a partnership with Wafacash to widen access to financial services across Morocco and support the country’s digital economy.
The agreement was announced during the second day of GITEX Africa 2026, held in Marrakech, where both companies outlined their plan to strengthen service distribution nationwide.
Under the partnership, Wafacash services will be deployed through Inwi Money’s network, which includes more than 4,000 agents across the country. This infrastructure will allow both firms to extend their reach and improve access to financial services, particularly in areas with high demand.
The companies said the initiative will simplify access for users while reinforcing the presence of financial services through a growing and dense distribution network.
Inwi Money stated that the agreement aligns with its strategy to deliver high-value digital services and respond to increasing digital adoption in Morocco. The company aims to consolidate its role as a multi-service financial platform while advancing financial inclusion.
Wafacash is expected to benefit from the scale and speed of Inwi Money’s network, allowing it to expand its customer base and meet rising demand for accessible and reliable financial solutions.
The partnership follows Inwi’s recent rollout of a 5G network designed for industrial applications, signaling a broader push into advanced digital infrastructure.
