India likely to experience above-average temperatures in March
India is expected to face higher-than-normal temperatures across most regions during March, following a warmer-than-usual February, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, director-general of the IMD, reported that both maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain above average throughout much of the country. Meteorologists attribute the warmer conditions to persistent regional climatic patterns and global temperature trends observed over the past months.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against heat-related risks as the month progresses. Experts also note that the higher temperatures may affect agriculture, water resources, and energy consumption in several states. The IMD continues to monitor conditions and will provide updates and warnings as needed.
