Gironde: 88-year-old man found dead at home, suspects in custody
An 88-year-old man was found dead at his home in Branne, Gironde, on Tuesday, authorities reported. Preliminary findings suggest that a third party may have been involved in the death.
Following the discovery, a 38-year-old man was arrested and placed in police custody on suspicion of murder. His partner was also detained for allegedly failing to report a crime, according to the Libourne prosecutor’s office.
The criminal investigation has been handed over to the Bordeaux Criminal Division, with the Libourne research brigade tasked with determining the exact circumstances of the death and the roles of those involved.
