Ferrari boosts second-quarter profitability as premium models and customization drive growth
Ferrari delivered stronger-than-expected financial results for the second quarter of 2026, posting higher profitability despite a slight decline in vehicle deliveries. The Italian luxury sports car manufacturer continued to benefit from growing demand for its most exclusive models and an increasing number of high-value customization orders.
The results reinforce Ferrari's ability to generate higher earnings through its premium business model as the company prepares for the launch of its first fully electric vehicle, the Luce.
Profit and revenue exceed expectations
The Maranello-based automaker reported a net profit of €463 million, representing a 9% year-on-year increase, while revenue climbed 8% to €1.94 billion.
Both figures surpassed analysts' expectations, reflecting the company's continued pricing power in the global luxury automotive market.
Rather than relying on higher sales volumes, Ferrari once again demonstrated its strategy of prioritizing profitability through product exclusivity and premium customer experiences.
Deliveries decline amid product transition
Ferrari delivered 3,366 vehicles during the quarter, 128 fewer than in the same period last year.
The company attributed the decline to the ongoing renewal of its product lineup, as customer demand increasingly shifts toward newly introduced flagship models.
Orders for the F80, 12Cilindri, and the Purosangue luxury SUV have continued to strengthen, while deliveries of earlier models such as the 296 GTS and Roma Spider have moderated during the transition.
Customization strengthens margins
A key contributor to Ferrari's improved profitability was the growing demand for bespoke vehicle personalization.
Affluent customers continue to select premium customization packages and exclusive options, generating additional high-margin revenue beyond the base price of each vehicle.
Chief Executive Officer Benedetto Vigna said the strong performance in personalization has supported a modest upgrade to Ferrari's financial outlook for 2026.
Electric future approaches
The latest earnings arrive ahead of one of Ferrari's most anticipated milestones: the introduction of its first fully electric model, the Luce.
The vehicle is expected to mark a significant evolution for the iconic Italian brand while preserving the exclusivity and performance standards that define Ferrari's identity.
Investors will closely watch how the electric model complements Ferrari's existing lineup without diluting its luxury positioning.
Luxury strategy continues to deliver
Ferrari's second-quarter results illustrate the resilience of the ultra-luxury automotive segment, where exclusivity, personalization and pricing power remain more important than production volume.
As the company expands its portfolio with new flagship models and prepares for electrification, its ability to increase earnings despite fewer deliveries highlights the strength of its long-term business strategy.
