At least six killed in Russian airstrikes on Kyiv, including a child

At least six people, including a six-year-old boy, were killed on Thursday following a series of Russian airstrikes on Kyiv, according to the head of the capital’s military administration, Timur Tkachenko.

The strikes, which targeted residential areas and infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, left several buildings in ruins and caused widespread panic among the population. Emergency services rushed to the affected areas to assist survivors and search for others trapped under the rubble.

"Thus far, six fatalities have been confirmed. Among the dead is a six-year-old child," Tkachenko stated on the social media platform Telegram.

These attacks come amid ongoing tensions and intensifying hostilities in the region, with Russia continuing its campaign against Ukrainian cities despite repeated international condemnation. The Ukrainian government has once again appealed to the global community for stronger support and more effective defensive systems to protect civilians.
