Amal Inzegane and El Jadida Dive Clubs Secure Triumph at Moroccan Finswimming Championships
Amal Inzegane and El Jadida Dive Clubs demonstrated their prowess as the leading forces at the Moroccan Finswimming Championships, held this past Sunday. The prestigious event unfolded at the Mohammed V Olympic Pool complex in Casablanca, drawing 160 athletes from 14 sports associations across Morocco to compete in individual finswimming and diving disciplines.
Upon the culmination of the competition, the Amal Inzegane Finswimming Club claimed the top position for men with an impressive 251 points. They outperformed the Customs Association, securing second place with 140 points, and the El Jadida Dive Club, securing the third position with 137 points. On the women's side, the El Jadida Dive Club emerged triumphant with 234 points, clinching the gold. The Mohammed V Sports Complex Association secured second place with 188 points, and the Customs Association claimed the bronze with 147 points.
Amal Inzegane further solidified their dominance by clinching the overall team championship with 407 points, narrowly surpassing the El Jadida Dive Club, which accumulated 386 points for a well-deserved silver. The Customs Association completed the podium in third position with a total of 307 points.
Omar Tomoyasse, the Technical Director for the Royal Moroccan Federation of Underwater Activities and Sport Diving, commended the high-quality performances displayed in both finswimming and diving. He emphasized the razor-thin margins between many competitors, highlighting the intense competition at the elite national event.
With their exemplary performances across various categories, Amal Inzegane and El Jadida clubs rightfully assert themselves as the foremost entities in Moroccan finswimming and diving. Their triumphs in these championships stand as a testament to sporting excellence within the kingdom.
