Al Barid Bank partners with Taptap Send to transform money transfers for Moroccan diaspora
Al Barid Bank and Taptap Send have established a strategic partnership to enhance international money transfer services to Morocco, offering a fast, secure, and cost-effective solution for the Moroccan diaspora. This collaboration enables Moroccans residing in Europe, North America, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the UAE to send funds directly via the Taptap Send app, with recipients benefiting from real-time transfers and no reception fees.
A seamless and inclusive money transfer solution
The funds can be withdrawn at any of the nearly 3,500 Al Barid Bank and Barid Cash branches across Morocco, including rural areas. Barid Cash branches operate six days a week with extended hours, ensuring better accessibility for customers. This digital service, praised for its simplicity and speed, addresses the needs of Moroccans abroad who wish to support their families with ease and transparency.
“This innovative solution stands out for its user-friendliness, speed, and free reception, perfectly catering to the expectations of Moroccans worldwide,” stated the partnership announcement.
The initiative also reinforces Al Barid Bank’s commitment to proximity, inclusivity, and citizenship by providing technologically advanced transfer services. It further strengthens the bank’s extensive territorial coverage, ensuring accessibility for all Moroccans.
Al Barid Bank’s financial success in 2025

Taptap Send’s growing footprint in Morocco
Taptap Send has been expanding its services in Morocco since introducing direct bank transfers in April 2024. The fintech company initially partnered with local banks such as Bank of Africa, Attijariwafa Bank, CIH Bank, Banque Populaire, and CFG Bank, allowing users to transfer funds directly into bank accounts within 24 to 48 hours.
Previously, Taptap Send facilitated cash collections through CashPlus and Wafacash agencies. With the new Al Barid Bank collaboration, the application now offers a broader range of services, further enhancing its value for the Moroccan diaspora.
