Air Arabia Expands Morocco-Europe Connectivity with Three New Direct Routes

In a notable expansion of its network, Air Arabia has unveiled plans to introduce three new direct routes connecting Morocco with Europe. This strategic move aims to enhance travel options between Moroccan cities and key European destinations.

Starting October 28, travelers can look forward to a new air route linking Tangier to Girona, Spain. Following this, on October 29, Air Arabia will commence direct flights between Tetouan and Lyon, France. A day later, on October 30, the airline will inaugurate a new connection between Tangier and Bordeaux, France.

Tangier-Girona Route

The Tangier-Girona route will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. On Mondays, flights will depart from Tangier at 4:55 p.m. and land in Girona at 6:50 p.m. The return flight from Girona is scheduled to leave at 7:40 p.m., arriving back in Tangier at 9:40 p.m. On Thursdays, the departure from Tangier will be at 9 a.m., with an arrival in Girona at 10:55 a.m. The return leg will depart Girona at 11:45 a.m. and touch down in Tangier at 1:45 p.m.

Tetouan-Lyon Route

For the Tetouan-Lyon route, Air Arabia will operate flights on Tuesdays. Departures from Tetouan are set for 3:45 p.m., arriving in Lyon at 6:05 p.m. The return flight will leave Lyon at 7:55 p.m. and reach Tetouan at 9:20 p.m.

Tangier-Bordeaux Route

The Tangier-Bordeaux route will see flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Wednesdays, flights will depart Tangier at 11:40 a.m., arriving in Bordeaux at 1:40 p.m. The return flight will leave Bordeaux at 2:25 p.m. and arrive in Tangier at 4:25 p.m. On Saturdays, departures from Tangier are scheduled for 5:35 p.m., with an arrival in Bordeaux at 7:35 p.m. The return leg will take off from Bordeaux at 8:25 p.m. and land in Tangier at 10:25 p.m.

Morocco remains a popular destination, drawing millions of visitors annually who are captivated by its rich culture and scenic landscapes. The country’s aviation sector is also thriving, with Moroccan airports handling over 15 million passengers in the first half of 2024, setting a new record.

These new routes by Air Arabia not only bolster Morocco’s connectivity with Europe but also support the growing demand for travel between these regions.
