The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad - Department of Moroccans Residing Abroad - is organizing the 15th edition of the Summer University in favor of young Moroccans Residing Abroad, from July 6 to 14, 2024 in Tangier. This initiative is part of the programs aimed at strengthening the identity of new generations from Moroccan immigration. It has been one of the flagship actions for young MREs since 2009, allowing them to meet, exchange, and discover the richness of their country of origin, notably its history, culture, and value system based on dialogue and tolerance.

This edition will see the participation of 300 young Moroccans living abroad, aged between 18 and 25, and pursuing their studies in different universities and higher education institutions. The work of this Summer University will take place over ten days and will offer participants the opportunity to meet, exchange, and discover the richness of their country of origin. Moreover, they will be able to learn about the major strategic projects launched under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and discover the cultural, economic, and touristic assets of the country.

Since its creation in 2009, the Summer University in favor of young Moroccans Residing Abroad has enabled many young people to meet, exchange, and discover their country of origin. This initiative is an unmissable event for young MREs, who find a unique opportunity to strengthen their Moroccan identity and forge links with their peers and homeland. Thus, the 15th edition of the Summer University promises to be a major event for strengthening the identity of new generations from Moroccan immigration. By offering participants the opportunity to discover the richness of their country of origin and learn about the major strategic projects, this initiative contributes to strengthening the ties between young MREs and their homeland.
