Renault Arkana Takes the Crown as the 2024 Car of the Year in Morocco
In a momentous ceremony held on Tuesday, January 23rd, the Renault Arkana secured the prestigious title of Car of the Year (COTY) for 2024 in Morocco. This triumph marked the 5th edition of the competition, where the sleek SUV emerged as the frontrunner in a highly competitive field.
Amongst a distinguished audience comprising government ministers, industry executives, and partners, the Arkana outshone its rivals, earning the coveted COTY trophy. The award was presented by Mohammed Abdeljalil, Minister of Transport and Logistics, and Adil Bennani, President of the Moroccan Association of Vehicle Importers (AIVAM), to the delighted Renault Morocco team.
Expressing gratitude, Mohamed Bennani, Managing Director of Renault Morocco, extended thanks to the jury and AIVAM for the esteemed honor. He commended his colleagues for their dedication in crafting the award-winning model.
The Arkana, celebrated for its sporty profile and refined interior, successfully impressed a panel of seasoned journalists and car experts. The distinguished jury meticulously evaluated finalists such as the BYD Atto 3, Cupra Formentor, Dacia Spring, Geely Coolray, Honda CRV, and MG4 before bestowing the coveted COTY title upon the Arkana.
This accolade solidifies the Arkana's growing popularity in Morocco and underscores Renault's consistent success in the market. With the trophy in hand, the French automaker anticipates heightened interest in its expanding lineup. For the Arkana, its sleek styling and the validation of the COTY title affirm that a combination of substance and acclaim creates a winning formula.
