Younes El Mechrafi Reelected as Vice President of the Global Corporate Sports Federation
Younes El Mechrafi has been reelected for another four-year term as the Vice President of Africa for the World Federation for Company Sport (WFCS). The election took place during their General Assembly on December 8th in Leon, Mexico.
El Mechrafi, currently serving as the General Manager of the Moroccan Games and Sports Corporation (MDJS) and as the President of the Association for the Promotion of Sports in Business in Morocco (APSEM), will join 11 other executives on the WFCS executive committee. This committee represents countries spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
The overarching goal of the WFCS is to strengthen human and cultural connections across borders through sports, promote regular physical activity within companies, and underscore the recreational and health benefits of mass participation in sports. The federation plays a crucial role in organizing major international events, including the World Corporate Games, along with supporting various national events under its patronage.
El Mechrafi's reelection not only solidifies his position but also underscores Morocco's influential standing within the international corporate sports community. In his role as Vice President, El Mechrafi is committed to continuing his efforts to enhance access to sports for employees across Africa and globally. His dedication aligns with the WFCS mission to foster a global community that embraces sports as a means of promoting well-being and unity.
