Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair has revealed ambitious expansion plans for Morocco, solidifying its commitment to the country by offering more than 1,100 weekly flights across 175 routes this summer, including the addition of 35 new routes.

As part of a substantial $1.4 billion investment, Ryanair is set to launch 11 domestic routes within Morocco, featuring introductory fares as low as $29.99 roundtrip. Industry experts predict that these new domestic routes will not only enhance internal connectivity but also stimulate traffic growth throughout the country.

According to an official company statement, Ryanair's total investment in Morocco now exceeds $1.4 billion, contributing to the creation of over 500 direct jobs for pilots, cabin crew, and engineers, along with thousands of positions in the tourism sector. This significant investment will have positive impacts on 12 cities across Morocco, including major hubs such as Marrakech, Fez, and Tangier.

Eddie Wilson, CEO of Ryanair, celebrated the announcement as a "historic day for the partnership between Ryanair and the Kingdom of Morocco." He emphasized that the new Tanger base, Ryanair's fourth in the country, is expected to generate over 60 new jobs.

Looking forward, Wilson expressed confidence that future announcements will further support Morocco's burgeoning tourism infrastructure leading up to the 2030 World Cup. "With the continued support of the Kingdom, this day marks one of many exciting announcements as Ryanair actively contributes to Morocco's growth in anticipation of the World Cup, where we eagerly anticipate cheering on the Atlas Lions," he stated.
