In line with Royal Directives aiming to implement the direct social assistance program by the end of 2023, the Moroccan government has initiated, starting December 2, the registration process for individuals seeking to benefit from this royal initiative.

Online Registration for Royal Support
The government has opened registrations through the electronic portal "www.asd.ma," providing eligible families the opportunity to benefit from the direct social assistance program. This portal allows applicants to submit their requests after registering with the National Population Registry (NPR) and the Unified Social Registry (USR), as per a statement from the office of the head of government. Once the request is processed, a response will be provided within a maximum of 30 days. The aid amount will be disbursed at the end of each month, provided all conditions are met, in accordance with Law 58.23 regarding the direct social assistance system, the statement adds.

First Aid Disbursements Expected by Late December 2023
The disbursement of the first aids is scheduled to begin from late December 2023. The program aims to support households in need, with a focus on specific categories such as school-age children, children with disabilities, newborns, and families in precarious situations without school-age children, especially those with elderly dependents.

A Social Shield for Vulnerable Families
This program stands as a social shield, emphasizes the office of the head of government. The minimum aid amount, set at 500 dirhams, can reach over 1,000 dirhams monthly, taking into account the composition of each family, particularly the number of children. It's worth noting that the Government Council recently adopted Decree No. 2.23.1067, aiming to implement Law No. 58.23 concerning the direct social assistance program. This decree project aims to enforce the provisions of the law, including determining the eligible head of the family, the application procedures, the deadlines for complaints, the criteria for family eligibility, and setting the amounts and disbursement modalities of the allowances.

The Royal Direct Social Assistance Program stands as a flagship measure to alleviate economic challenges for vulnerable families, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to the well-being of the population.
