The president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, is set to travel to Istanbul this Friday for a significant meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The discussions will encompass both bilateral relations and pressing global issues, with the humanitarian crisis in Gaza expected to be a focal point.

Sánchez's visit follows his recent attendance at the Arab League summit, where he emphasized Spain's commitment to addressing the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Before heading to Turkey, Sánchez will meet with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham Bin Tariq Al-Busaid, in Madrid. The Sultan will be honored with military accolades during his visit, which will include a lunch with King Felipe VI and a gala dinner hosted by the Spanish royal family. These engagements highlight the importance Spain places on fostering diplomatic ties in the region.
