Morocco participates in Arab League Council meeting on Palestine
The Arab League Council, at the level of permanent delegates, held an extraordinary session in Cairo on Wednesday to discuss developments in Palestine, with Morocco taking part.
Morocco was represented by its Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Mohamed Ait Ouali, at this session, convened at the request of Palestine.
In a resolution adopted at the end of the session, the Council strongly condemned Israel for violating the ceasefire and targeting Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip and occupied West Bank. The Council warned that the continuation of such actions would be a blatant violation of human rights and international laws, fueling global anger.
Furthermore, the Arab League Council emphasized the role of the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by King Mohammed VI, and the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, the executive arm of the Committee.
The extraordinary session also examined a memorandum submitted by Palestine, outlining Arab and international responses to the resumption of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, as well as the repercussions of Israeli authorities' decisions to cut electricity in Gaza and block the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and relief aid.
